About Martha
New Cross drum teacher Martha Daniels is one of London’s most experienced and in demand drummers. Based at her home studio in New Cross / Telegraph Hill, Martha combines teaching drum kit with a hugely successful performance career, bringing her experience as a working musician into the lessons. She is highly qualified, having previously studied at the University of Cambridge where she holds her MA (Cantab).
Martha plays drum kit for Connie Constance, who currently has over 4 million monthly listeners on Spotify. With Connie, Martha recently supported Bloc Party at Crystal Palace Bowl and Lola Young at the Royal Festival Hall. She also drums for Alien Chicks, who were named as “one of the bands at the heart of London’s DIY underbelly” by DIY Magazine. Martha’s drumming for Alien Chicks has been heard on BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 6 Music, Radio X, and BBC Introducing. Their latest EP will be released through Alcopop Records.
Martha has also played live with various other groups, including the all-female brass band She’s Got Brass and Grooveverse – a live jazz band which improvises with spoken word artists.
Artists that New Cross drum teacher Martha has also previously drummed for Mahalia, Gzi Wisdom, Bainbridge & Co and many more. She’s also performed at festivals such as Glastonbury, SXSW, The New Colossus, Boomtown and Cross The Tracks, amongst many other venues across the UK, USA and Germany.

Qualifications
New Cross drum teacher Martha Daniels holds an MA (Cantab) from the University of Cambridge. Martha also sung as a choral scholar during her time in Cambridge.
Martha also holds music A-level (A-grade), alongside ABRSM grade 8 voice, ABRSM grade 7 piano and ABRSM grade 5 theory. She previously studied at the Guildhall Centre for Young Musicians.
Martha is currently studying for a graduate diploma in jazz drums at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.
