About Freddie
Hampton guitar teacher Freddie Edwards was born into a musical family, following in his father’s footsteps by pursuing a career in the music industry.
Soon after graduating from The Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM), he was snapped up as a session guitarist for the iconic Francis Rossi of Status Quo. Soon after, Freddie was asked to join the Status Quo lineup on a more permanent basis.
After extensively touring across both the UK & Europe, Freddie switched his focus to becoming a full time member in Flawes, an Alternative Pop act who signed to Red Bull Records in 2016. The group had immediate success with debut single Don’t Wait For Me becoming BBC Radio 1’s coveted Record of the Week.
After support tours with Ella Eyre, Maxïmo Park and AJR, Flawes released their debut album Highlights in early 2020. Freddie is currently in the studio with the band working on their second album.
