About Lauric

Finsbury Park drum teacher Lauric Mackintosh is one of London’s most sought-after music educators. Based in his studio in north east London, Lauric balances his teaching time between one-to-one lessons and hosting his own drum camps.

Lauric is dedicated, reliable and has a unique ability to connect with his students, often bringing his real-world industry experience to the lessons. This organised approach has made him one of the most popular drum teachers we work with.

He is currently performing with Silvertwin, a London-based indie group, alongside undertaking session work with various artists based in and around London. He is well-versed in rock/pop, electronica and folk, as well as jazz, blues and R&B.

Finsbury Park drum teacher Lauric released his first educational book The Mackintosh Method in May 2026. The book provides beginner drummers the skills they need to play along with their favourite songs, as well as picking up invaluable essentials along the way.

Qualifications

Finsbury Park drum teacher Lauric Mackintosh holds his BA from the British Institute of Modern Music (BIMM) in popular music performance.

He’s played at notable venues such as the O2 Academy Brixton, Islington Assembly Hall, and Village Underground, as well as festivals such as Boardmasters, All Points East, Great Escape and Live at Leeds.

He’s also composed for the films Whoopsie Daisy (directed by Hannah Owen) and Dashing Through The Snow (directed by Florian Kasperski).
