About Callum

Hampstead drum teacher Callum Seuss is one of north London’s most in demand mobile, home visit drum teachers. He has a huge amount of experience both performing and teaching – and for those interested – brings his songwriting, compositional and production expertise into the lessons. He’s super friendly, incredibly organised and exceptionally reliable which, to put it bluntly, can be a rarity amongst busy music teachers in the capital!

Primarily, Callum has a deep love for education, helping students to overcome challenges, master their chosen instrument and express themselves through music. His lessons are friendly, educational and also fun to boot! As a result, his students span all age ranges and all abilities, with his students ranging from beginner right through to advanced.

Originally from Canada, Callum received his BMus at north London’s ICMP (Institute of Contemporary Music Performance) where he studied between 2014 and 2017 whilst also contributing to the ICMP Bandeoke Band.

Teaching highlights include working with The AutistiX – a group of performers that showcase the potential of musicians with disabilities – where Callum teaches drums, music theory, songwriting and assists with their recording sessions. The band were seen on on BBC’s The One Show with Callum.

He is experienced teaching through the RSL Awards syllabus and is capable of teaching within groups, having previously run workshops including musical games/activities and leading performances.

Hampstead drum teacher Callum has also performed with a huge array of artists, including the Itchy Feet House Band, Lisa Canny and Bustle Ceilidh Band. He’s played at world renowned festivals such as the Isle of Wight Festival and Camp Bestival. You can hear Callum’s compositions across multiple media forms – including video games, art portfolios and short form animation. 

Qualifications

Hampstead drum teacher Callum Seuss holds his BMus (Hons) from the ICMP (Institute of Contemporary Music Performance) in north London, where he studied from 2014 to 2017. He was awarded 1st class honours, along with Best in Drums.

Callum is DBS checked (enhanced). He is a multi-instrumentalist and also plays guitar, bass guitar, piano and percussion.
