About Riccardo
Manor House piano teacher Riccardo Chiaberta is one of London’s best, virtuosic players. He has been teaching privately since 2009. Riccardo teaches and performs a wide variety of instruments including piano, drum kit and composition. He teaches from his studio, ideally situated around 10 minutes walk from Manor House tube station. Riccardo can facilitate piano lessons either in person – where you can learn on his beautiful upright piano – or remotely via online lessons.
Riccardo teaches a variety of genres but has a jazz specialism for those interested. His students have the advantage of being tutored by a rounded, accomplished musician currently working, performing and playing in the industry.
Performance highlights for Riccardo include world renowned festivals such as Glastonbury Festival, Montreux Jazz Festival, London Jazz Festival and Eurosonic Festival. He’s also played at venues such as Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, The Jazz Cafe, Blue Note Milano, Pizza Express Jazz Club, The Vortex Jazz Club, Tones on the Stones and MITO Milano.
Riccardo currently plays with the electronic jazz duo Moonfish as well as up and coming artist Maria Chiara Argirò. Riccardo is also one of the founding members of the Kino Trio. Kino Trio’s acclaimed debut album Il Cielo Sopra Berlino (2019) was released on the Babel Label. He’s also a member of the band Dugong who released their third album Let the Good Be Good in 2022. BBC Radio 6 Music said that “Dugong is a unique proposition on the European jazz scene” whilst The Guardian called them a “one-off European jazz/post-rock quartet.”
Manor House piano teacher Riccardo has released two albums and a single under his own name via Honolulu Records. You can check out the video for Riccardo’s composition Camden Town right here! This track is a continuation of the concept behind his first piano solo album A Bird Told Me which came out in 2018.
